Background The novel coronavirus variant B.1.617 carrying both E484Q and L452R mutations was first identified in India in October 2020. At present, B.1.617 has evolved into three progeny lineages, namely B.1.617.1 (Kappa), B.1.617.2 (Delta) and B.1.617.3, which have slightly different mutations and are at risk of reduced sensitivity to neutralizing antibodies. Among them, the Delta variant (B.1.617.2) has significantly increased its transmission ability, and has spread rapidly in many countries and regions around the world, and has become the main circulating variant of COVID-19 worldwide. 293T cells were transfected with HIV-1 (human immunodeficiency virus type I) -based vector and packaged into SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) (B.1.617.2) Spike pseudovirus. The pseudovirus can be used to infect cells overexpressing ACE2. This pseudovirus has no self-replication ability, and has the characteristics of high safety and operability.
