With more than 9 years of experience antibody discovery field, KMD Bioscience are offering our expertise in the construction of peptide libraries on phage as a service for your research and development efforts. In the process of protein interaction research, it is often necessary to find ligands for proteins or enzymes, so there is an urgent need for a high-throughput screening solution that can meet the needs of a huge number of scientific research scientists.
The phage display platform provided by KMD Bioscience is an ultra-high-throughput ligand screening method. Through this technology platform, up to 1013/ml peptide or antibody clones that have been displayed by phage can be constructed, and the average number of independent clones can be achieved to 109-1010/ml. After multiple rounds of panning, up to 105 effective peptide or antibody sequences can be found, which can provide a solid research foundation for the subsequent search for enzyme substrates, protein ligands and highly specific antibodies research. At the same time, with the affinity screening platform of KMD Bioscience, the affinity ranking of different peptides or antibodies and target proteins can be obtained in a short cycle of time (2-3 days), and even the determination of precise affinity can be completed (affinity determination service). Based on the phage display platform, KMD Bioscience can construct random 7-peptide libraries,12-peptide libraries,15-peptide libraries, etc.
Peptide libraries construction by phage display have become a major drug discovery tool to identify de novo peptide ligands and explore sequence space in proteins. KMD Bioscience is committed to providing high-quality services for peptide library construction.

T7 Phage Introduction:
Bacteriophage T7 (or the T7 phage) is a bacteriophage, a virus that infects bacteria. It is an icosahedral virus of the Podoviridae family with a linear double-stranded (ds) DNA genome. Like T4, phage T7 has a head and tail structure. The icosahedral head, where T7 maintains its dsDNA genome, consists of 415 copies of the capsid protein gp10, arranged in 60 hexamers at the surface and 11 pentamers at the apex. The major capsid protein gp10 has two isoforms, gp10A and gp10B, in a 9:1 ratio, resulting from a natural translation frame shift of 341 amino acids.
The small protein gp10B arises due to a frame switch at the end of the gene, giving the cap protein an extra 52 residues. The fusion protein shows an extra 52 residues at the C-terminus of the protein gp10B. T7 phage particles exhibit high stability under various extreme conditions, including high temperature and low pH, which facilitates efficient high-throughput affinity elution. Recently, the application of the T7 phage display system has played an important role in revealing the mechanisms of molecular interactions, especially in the fields of antigen discovery, vaccine development, protein interactions, and cancer diagnosis and therapy.
