FGL1 (Gene ID:2267) has been identified as a liver-specific protein, named for its structural similarity to fibrinogen, a clotting protein. It is produced by hepatocytes in the liver and secreted into the bloodstream. Recent studies have revealed its role in regulating immune responses and cancer. Fibrinogen-like protein 1 (FGL1), belonging to the fibrinogen superfamily. FGL1 is expressed predominantly in the liver and plays a role in a variety of physiological and pathological processes, including liver function and cancer. The main functions of FGL1 are as follows.
