IHC uses the principle that antibodies bind specifically to antigens in biological tissues and is a routine method for detecting antigens in tissue slice cells. It is widely used in the diagnosis of diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, and digestive disorders. Specific molecular markers have been identified and validated to characterize specific cellular events in disease, such as proliferation, apoptosis and inflammation. Therefore, it can be used to detect such changes associated with diseases. IHC is also a common method used in basic disease research to help understand the distribution and localization of biomarkers and the differential expression of proteins in different parts of the tissue. In addition, customers can also mail the prepared antibodies to us for IHC services.
KMD Bioscience performs IHC and IF staining of slides using either IHC single label or IHC and IF double labeling. IHC and IF double labeling staining presents two markers on the same tissue slide, helping to better understand protein localization and interactions.
