CD30 (Gene ID:943) was initially discovered in the 1980s as a cell surface antigen expressed on activated T cells. It belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily, and is expressed predominantly on the surface of certain immune cells, including activated T cells, B cells, and a number of other lymphocytes. CD30 has also been implicated in a wide range of immune responses and pathological conditions. The main functions of CD30 are as follows.
