CD27 (Gene ID:939), also known as TNFRSF7, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It is predominantly expressed on the surface of lymphocytes, including T-cells, B-cells, and specific subsets of natural killer (NK) cells. CD27 plays an important role in the regulation of immune responses and lymphocyte activation. The CD27 gene encodes a cell-surface receptor that, when bound to the ligand CD70 (also known as TNFSF7), provides a co-stimulatory signal to lymphocytes. Here are some key functions of CD27:

4. Anti-tumor immunity: CD27 has attracted attention as a potential target for cancer immunotherapy. Activation of CD27 signaling facilitates the activation of cytotoxic T cells and increases tumor-specific immune responses, thus enhancing anti-tumor immune response.
