CD137L (Gene ID:8744) belongs to the tumor necrosis factor superfamily and is a co-stimulatory factor of lymphocytes, also known as tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 9, TNFSF9, 4-1BBL. CD137L is mainly expressed on the cell membrane of cells in the primary and secondary lymphoid follicle suites, with lower expression in the cytoplasm. The protein encoded by CD137L consists of 309 amino acids. As a high-affinity ligand for CD137, this protein binds to CD137 to deliver bidirectional signaling. Positive signals stimulate the proliferation and activation of T cells, and negative signals stimulate the proliferation of B cells. CD137 regulates the T-cell-mediated immune response by transmitting activation, proliferation, or apoptosis signals among immune cells. It plays an important role in research related to cancer, infectious diseases and autoimmune diseases.
